Collaboration is an idea that is finding new life in our time. And not just the kind of collaboration that we do on our teams and within our organizations, but a new kind of collaboration that crosses organization, agency and enterprise. We are all beginning to realize that real change and progress within our given fields is tied to our ability to work together. The problems and challenges we face are simply too big to overcome alone.

On Collaboration

January 21, 2023

The Portico, downtown Tampa, 9am-4pm

As we learn to collaborate within our cause areas we begin to see the need for understanding, communication and partnerships between causes as well. Our hope for this event is to provide a place for people who are engaging in the work of collaboration to learn and grow that emerging skill, and interact with other leaders and agencies who are doing the same. We hope this one day event will help us to

1) Learn more about the social technology of collaboration.

2) Connect with other leaders in your field/alliance.

3) Interact with collaborative leaders involved in causes that are different (but overlapping) to your own.

The lead sponsor for the event is the National Christian Foundation and we will undoubtedly address the subject through the lens of Christian faith. But anyone who is laboring in these areas is welcome regardless of their faith position. The work of collaboration needs to make room for all of us.

  • Plenary Sessions

Not only will we have the chance to be together with other leaders who are working in cause collaborations, we will also be able to listen and learn from a few leading national and local voices on the art of collaboration. We have invited Eric Swanson, author of To Transform a City, Kärin Butler Primuth, CEO of visionSynergy, Brian Sanders, Impact Alliance Specialist for NCF, and Jacqueline Leeks, Director of the Sulfur Springs Neighborhood of Promise.

There will be 5 workshops exploring the skill and art of collaborative leadership.
